Selectmen approve LIP application

At their meeting on Tuesday, July 28, the board of Selectmen signed the Local Initiative Petition. That means we are now able to send the petition to the Massachusetts Dept. of Housing and Community Development. Assuming they approve the application, which is likely to take several weeks or more, we will then be back to working with town boards and committees, I believe primarily with the Board of Appeals. I don't know precisely what that process will entail but will post details as soon as I learn them, as well as notice of any meetings.
